Installing an EA: a safer checklist
Exact menus can vary by platform build and broker distribution, but the core process is to place the correct EA file in the platform's Expert Advisors location, restart or refresh, attach it to the intended chart, and explicitly enable automated trading.

Before enabling trading
Confirm the file came from the expected source, the EA is intended for your MT4 or MT5 version, the symbol/timeframe/settings match the documentation, and you understand position sizing. Test on demo before exposing capital when practical.
After installation
Verify the EA is actually running, watch the platform journal/log for errors, and do not assume 'installed' means 'configured safely.'
